Christine began painting in the watercolor medium nice years ago under the guidance of Monte Guynes. Christine's style emphasizes color, shape and textures. Christine incorporates simplicity and sense of freedom in her paintings. She primarily paints landscapes and florals. but particularly enjoys experimenting with color and the creation of abstract paintings that amuse and intrigue.
Christine participates in shows in Fresno and surrounding areas and has gained a loyal following. Her work, Egguinox was featured on the front page of the Life section of the Fresno Bee.
Christine had the distinction for being the second place winner in the KVPT Valley Art Auction. The first place winner was a well-known and respected Fresno artist so she was particularly flattered to win this award. She also received the "People's Choice Award" at a local art show.
Christine is a member and the secretary/treasurer of Fresno Artquest. a group of five local artists who paint together frequently to promote art and their love of it.
Christine consistently donates 10-15% of the proceeds on her watercolor sales to The Marjaree Mason Center.
